RuPaul’s Drag Race UK – S1 Ep7: The Drag Family Scandal Of The Century
I’m going to try and keep this episode as short and sweet as possible because I’m TRIGGERED! This decision has split the Drag Race fans into two camps, those that think Cheryl overstayed her welcome and those who think she deserved to win this week. I fall heavily into the camp of Cheryl being robbed by this week’s Drag Family challenge. Cheryl had by far the strongest look and family resemblance. I know Cheryl thought her and her sister looked really similar out of drag but they didn’t really. However, she created a legitimate twin – and a drag one at that! The hair and makeup was spot on and…

RuPaul’s Drag Race UK – S1 Ep6: Thirsty Werk
A few weeks back you may remember (if you’ve read my other Drag Race UK reviews) that I made a wee little prediction/conspiracy theory. I said that Cheryl Hole (despite being in the bottom for virtually every episode) is being saved until Cheryl Cole came in as a guest judge. There I said she would either lipsync in front of her hero and win – giving her validation or go home in front of her hero which would create a dramatic TV moment. Well, it turns out I was correct. She won the lipsync and got that moment from her idol. If you’ll pardon the pun, this episode is going…

RuPaul’s Drag Race UK – S1 Ep5: Break Up (Bye Bye)
A wise man named Mahatma Gandhi once said; “Fuckin’ hell hun, that was a top-notch episode of Drag Race this week!” and he couldn’t have been more correct. Drag Race UK has already had such a huge impact despite being so new. The series has been phenomenal so far with the camp, the kitsch and the cut-throat humour but this episode for me has just pushed the marker even higher! Could it have Ru wanting to Break Up (Bye Bye) from the American seasons? This episode had everything – drama, conflict, comedy, singing, dancing, innuendo and a fuck-tonne of tears. I’m unbelievably thankful for this UK season and so proud…

RuPaul’s Drag Race UK – S1 Ep4: The Snatch Game
Snatch Game is here! Snatch Game is here! As the legendary Martha from High School Musical would say; “Hip-Hop Hooray!” Snatch Game has become somewhat of a legendary staple in the Drag Race franchise. It’s the episode everybody waits for with bated breath and now we’ll be getting our first batch of British queens taking the plunge. So let’s not fanny about, time to get onto the episode! The Vivienne turned into Old Mother Hubbard again when the queens entered the werkroom. She decided to call out Sum Ting Wong for not taking her (unrequested) advice. Sometimes I think she forgets that she’s another competitor and not a judge on…

RuPaul’s Drag Race UK – S1 Ep2: Downton Draggy
What a bloody good first episode! RuPaul’s Drag Race UK has certainly made it’s mark already in just one episode and this week was no different. I genuinely think the UK season may be my favourite season for quite some time now (and you have me on record saying that). We’re already forming opinions, choosing favourites and getting a whole heap of laughs just from the use of the words ‘tuppence’ alone. This week we also got our first lipstick mirror message and Gothy knew how to leave an impression: “I’m the UK’s Porkchop! Love you all, friends for life! x x x Gothy” But Gothy’s corpse was still warm…

RuPaul’s Drag Race UK – S1 Ep1: Queen(s) of England
The wait is finally over and it’s time to meet our British queens for the first time! For years we have waited for Drag Race to come to the UK and the first episode certainly did not disappoint. It was camp, crass and comedic and I couldn’t have asked for anymore! So let’s not fanny about, let’s get straight into the entrance looks of our 10 Queens of England. Baga Chipz, 29, London Baga entered the werkroom first in true ‘Baga’ style, rude, crude and a whole heap of attitude. Her outfit was camp and tacky and I lived for it. Who doesn’t love an 80’s looking gold sequinned leopard…

BBC Three’s RuPaul’s Drag Race UK Teaser Trailer
ONE DAY TO GO! The wait is nearly over for the first-ever season of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK and the buzz has been insane! Our 10 queens are raring to go to find out who will become Britain’s reigning monarch. But who will snatch the crown and put Britain on the Drag Race map? And for most of my UK readers, you’ve probably already seen BBC Three’s official teaser trailer and to those who haven’t – you’re in for a treat. The trailer is camp, creative and quintessentially British. Picture a 1970’s sitcom and that’s where this trailer begins. Each queen has brought their unique style to the set, some…

RuPaul’s Drag Race UK – Meet The Queens
Long live our gracious Queen(s)! The time has come for us to finally meet the pioneering queens who will be taking part on the very first season of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK – and my word has it been a long wait for us to finally get a British season! Not only are we meeting the queens, but we also have a start date! But let’s not fanny about, let’s meet the queens! That’s right, October 3rd (also known as Mean Girls day) is the start of the first-ever UK season. We don’t have too long to wait now! So let’s delve straight into the Meet The Queens video! It’s…

RuPaul’s Drag Race UK Confirm Alan Carr & Graham Norton As Guest Judges!
Holy shit balls! As you know, I’m really bloody excited to see RuPaul’s Drag Race make its way to the UK – let’s be honest, it’s been long overdue. We know that the show will be a proper series, sadly we don’t know too much as of yet. But it will be hitting BBC Three later this year and RuPaul and Michelle Visage are definitely doing it! As for Carson Kressley and Ross Matthews, well, they’re too ‘American’, but who will take their place? Today, we have the answer and I’m honestly so fucking excited to announce that Graham Norton and Alan Carr will be the guest judges for the…

RuPaul’s Drag Race is coming to the UK in 2019
No ladies, this is not a drill. Our prayers have been answered! RuPaul’s Drag Race will be making its debut in the United Kingdom NEXT YEAR! Yaaass queen slay! The news was confirmed today so this is no longer a wishful rumour! The show will debut on BBC Three which is great news as that means it will be easily streamable on iPlayer. It also means no shitty adverts during the duration of the show. Bestow my beating queer heart. We know the show already has a monumental fan base that’s not just in the USA or the UK. Drag Race is now a global phenomenon with fans dotted all around…
