The other night I had the pleasure of attending the ‘Winter Wonderland’ event at Angelica on the top floor of the Trinity Leeds shopping centre. For a few years now, Angelica has been one of my favourite hidden drinking spots in Leeds as it’s tucked away quite nicely to those who don’t know of the place’s existence.
For those of you who don’t know about Angelica, it’s a beautiful little rooftop bar that makes amazing cocktails with a great view of the Leeds skyline. Anyway, enough reminiscing from me, on with the event!
I decided that my partner in crime for the night would be my fellow blogging chum, Elisha Ainsley. Both of us wanted to make the most of the ‘Winter Wonderland’ theme by dressing a little bit festive. And no, that doesn’t mean we went in red & green or Santa hats – we wore silver and black because we’re edgy. 💁🏻♀️
Glasses: Ray-Ban
Top: Moschino x H&M
Jeans: Topman
Boots: Givenchy
I’ve been wanting to wear my H&Moschino top for a while and I thought it would make a nice bit of attire for a rooftop party. After all, you can’t have a party without a few sequins! I’ve also been dying to wear my beautiful silver Givenchy moon boots. I honestly don’t get enough opportunities to wear these walking orgasms. Recently, I’ve been trying to wear more of my fun pieces and I’m so glad I did with these, I got a lot of compliments for them that night.

As we were arriving, we bumped into our other blogger buddy, Luke Christian. So now we had a lovely little blogging trio enjoy the festive cocktails – and my word they were lovely!
When we entered the bar, we were kindly greeted with a glass of Moët and a few cocktail tokens which is always a great way to start the festivities.
The cocktails were absolutely beaut – shamefully, I can’t remember the names or what was in them, but one was like a warm coffee liqueur and the other was a really sweet, fluffy red cocktail (my favourite one).
All in all, it was a really nice event, I got to catch up with some friends, bumped into some others that I hadn’t seen for a very long time and enjoy some delicious cocktails with a beautiful view.
Of course, sitting outside meant that the Angelica team had to add a bit of ‘Christmas magic’ to the event so there were beautiful candles in lanterns scattered all around and really cozy fur throws on all the chairs to keep you warm… Being the dignified young socialite that I am, you can bet your bottom dollar on it that I put one on my head and pretended to be in East 17’s ‘Stay Another Day‘ music video – it’s seasonal so it’s allowed!
Ooft, what a stunner – I know, you don’t have to tell me twice. Of course, we had to recreate this iconic moment in British Christmas music history:
I think we nailed this little number beautifully!
