Dalesman Christmas 2019 – Food Photography

I can’t believe it’s December already?! My word this year has swung by fast. But I won’t harp on about the trials and tribulations of 2019, I’m here to show you some photography work. More specifically my food photography work I shot this year for the Dalesman Christmas 2019 campaign.

My first attempt at making a GIF

I’ve worked with The Dalesman Group for over 4 years now and I’ve done a couple of Christmas campaigns. Our theme this year was to do a 1970’s inspired Christmas to mark the start of the company. Think tacky baubles, gawdy decorations and a lot of colourful Christmas lights.

I wanted to create a nostalgic 70’s Christmas party atmosphere to contrast with the classical Christmas dinner I shot for Dalesman a couple of years ago.

We wanted the images to feel like you were immersed mid-festivities.

You can’t beat pigs in blankets with your Christmas dinner and our Dalesman Christmas shoot didn’t want to neglect them as the perfect party food either.

It was all about the finger-food this year. Bitesized party peices were the treats of choice.

And the final image was a pretty big build. This shot was required to showcase a variety of canopes. We gave the image a mid-party vibe will drinks, in fact, we threw in some party games, nostalgic props and a whole heap of Xmas decorations.

So there we have it, Christmas is wrapped up and ready to go.
