Exciting news for all you nostalgic nellies in the room! There’s a hot new collaboration in town and it’s out next week. ASOS x The Simpsons is heading out of Springfield to a town near you.
ASOS DESIGN has collaborated with one of the biggest shows in the world for a SS18 capsule collection that will have you screaming “Ay Caramba!” Best of all, you only have 5 days to wait for it to be available to buy (August 23rd)!
What is ASOS DESIGN?
ASOS DESIGN is the online retailer’s own brand. But they’re playing big this year by teaming up with the creators of the most watched sitcom in television history!
This summer-ready collection will be dropping in just 5 days which is perfect for the continued heatwave we’ve been experiencing. Expect to see some iconic design taken from the show and of course, Homer, Bart, Lisa, Marge and Maggie.
Not only that, but we get to see some iconic Simpsons characters make appearances in the collection. Obviously, you see The Simpsons family as well as some other familiar faces like Mr Burns and Patty & Selma.
What sort of things can we find in the ASOS x The Simpsons capsule?
Some of the key pieces definitely focus on the iconic brands from the show. Everything from Duff Beer to Krusty Burger to the Kwik-E-Mart. So if you’ve been craving a tote bag or t-shirt of your favourite convenience store’s logo, you’re in luck!
The collection will feature over 30 streetwear inspired pieces. Expect to see; t-shirts, sweaters, jackets, jeans, accessories, shorts, shirts swimwear and more!
Focusing on the golden years of The Simpsons, the ASOS collab will feature a heavy 90’s nostalgia feel. So expect to see bum bags and bucket hats galore!
Who is the collection for?
Anybody who is a fan of The Simpsons and a cheeky nod to a 90’s throwback extravaganza. The capsule will feature menswear, womenswear and unisex pieces for all to enjoy.
The collection will also be available in larger sizes via ASOS Curve and Plus – I just wish they’d thrown Homer’s iconic muumuu into the mix.
But the best part of all – it’s incredibly affordable! Price points start at as low as £15.
What I want from the ASOS x The Simpsons collection
There are some items I’ve found that I’ve already got my eyes on for when the capsule launches. I’ll give you a rundown of my 5 favourite pieces from the collection that I want to get my hands on.
‘Cool Lisa’ t-shirt
One of the most iconic episodes in The Simpsons history has to be where the world gets to meet ‘cool Lisa’. S7Ep25: Summer of 4 Ft. 2 gave us one of the most simple catchphrases that we all copied. In true valley girl style, Lisa answers most questions with “Like, y’know, whatever“.
Now you have a t-shirt to match the beachy coolness of Lisa with this tie-dye top with a nice little emblem of Lisa in her coolest garms.
Eyeball sweater
One of the brightest pieces in the collection for sure. But who wouldn’t expect to see the iconic ‘Simpsons yellow’ colour plastered throughout the collab?
It’s bold yet simplistic and it reminds me of Jeremy Scott‘s homage to America’s favourite family in his AW12 collection.
Cloud print denim jeans
“Eat my shorts!” These denim jeans emblazoned with the iconic show’s cloud intro, these are the perfect printed denim shorts for summer that only a true fan will recognise from a distance.
Gorgeous Mr Burns t-shirt
Possibly one of my favourite t-shirts in the collection. Sure, they have the infamous meme of Homer sneaking into the bush, but nothing tickles my heart more than seeing Mr Burns as Marilyn Monroe in Smithers’ wildest fantasies.
Patty and Selma sweater
My favourite piece in the whole collection has to be this knitwear sweater. It features two of the sassiest human beings on the planet, Patty and Selma Bouvier.
I would wear this jumper more than you could possibly imagine. Nights out, workwear, a casual trip to the shops. Who doesn’t want to see two gorgeous vixens upon my torso?

This has to be one of the best nostalgia-heavy collaborations I have ever seen.
Everybody needs a fun pair of socks – plain black is a thing of the past.
If I were a girl, this swimsuit would be the first thing I would buy.

Sure, it’s a denim jacket for women but I love these little Patty and Selma details – I think I’m slightly obsessed.
